Microsoft has just unveiled their latest AI innovation: autonomous agents in Copilot and Dynamics 365. This groundbreaking initiative allows businesses to automate and optimize their workflows in an entirely new way. Users can choose from ten pre-built agents specialized in areas such as sales, service, finance, and supply chain, or they can create their own custom agents through Copilot Studio, which is moving from private to public preview next month.
These agents can act independently, meaning they can initiate tasks and respond to business signals without human supervision. They are based on OpenAI’s latest o1 models and come with advanced security features such as encryption and measures against data loss, ensuring they can be safely implemented in large enterprises. Microsoft calls these agents "the new apps for an AI-driven world," emphasizing their potential impact on how workflows will operate in the future.

💻 Novo Nordisk and NVIDIA Inaugurate the Gefion Supercomputer
Today marks a historic milestone for Danish AI as the Gefion supercomputer is officially inaugurated in a collaboration between the Novo Nordisk Foundation and NVIDIA. Gefion is one of the world's most powerful AI supercomputers and will serve as a cornerstone of Denmark's national AI innovation center. The supercomputer is optimized for large AI projects in areas such as healthcare, life sciences, and the green transition, and it is designed to tackle some of the world's biggest societal challenges.
Gefion Will Provide Researchers from Both Public and Private Sectors Access to NVIDIA's Leading AI Platforms, Including advanced software, training resources, and expertise. This will accelerate the development of new AI solutions, which can be used in everything from medical research to sustainability initiatives. During today's ceremony at the Vilhelm Lauritzen Terminal in Copenhagen Airport, prominent figures such as H.M. King Frederik of Denmark and NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang are participating, emphasizing the importance of the project.
Although this investment strengthens Denmark's position in the global AI industry, it's worth noting that the total funding still pales in comparison to the enormous investments being made in the USA for AI. Additionally, the EU remains hindered by uncertainties in the regulatory frameworks, which causes many tech giants to hold back from major AI initiatives in Europe.
